PRIVACY, SAFETY, AND TRUST
Privacy Policy
WeSpeak2 is designed around calm learning, trust, and responsible data practices. This policy explains information handled through the public WeSpeak2 website. The child learning application will provide additional notices before child accounts are activated.
Effective and last updated: September 17, 2026
1. Information we collect on this website
We collect information that you choose to submit through our contact and demo forms, such as your name, email address, organization, role, area of interest, and message. Please do not place sensitive child information, medical information, recordings, or education records in these public forms.
The website may store your English or Spanish language preference locally in your browser. At this time, the public website does not use behavioral advertising or sell personal information.
2. How we use information
- Respond to questions, demo requests, launch interest, sponsorship inquiries, and partnership requests.
- Provide requested information about WeSpeak2 plans and services.
- Protect the website, prevent abuse, and maintain reliable operations.
- Send launch updates only when you request them; you may opt out at any time.
3. Service providers and disclosure
We use service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the website. Website form submissions are processed by Web3Forms and delivered to WeSpeak2. Hosting and security providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or rights, or during a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
4. Retention and security
We keep website inquiries only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
5. Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information you submitted through the website, or withdraw from launch emails, by contacting us. We will verify requests when reasonably necessary and respond as required by applicable law.
6. Children and schools
The public website contact and demo forms are intended for parents, guardians, educators, SLPs, school personnel, sponsors, and other adults—not for children to submit personal information. Please read our dedicated Children’s Privacy Notice for our child-safety commitments and planned consent controls.
When WeSpeak2 is provided through a school, the school controls education records and determines authorized educational use. WeSpeak2 will use school-provided student information only for authorized educational purposes and under applicable agreements and law.
7. Applicable privacy and student-protection laws
Depending on the user, location, service, and relationship with a school, WeSpeak2 designs its privacy practices to address applicable requirements, including:
- United States Federal Law — Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) — 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506, with implementing rules at 16 C.F.R. Part 312, for covered online collection from children under 13.
- United States Federal Law — Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) — 20 U.S.C. § 1232g, with regulations at 34 C.F.R. Part 99, when WeSpeak2 handles education records for participating U.S. schools or districts.
- Dominican Republic — Law No. 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data, where Dominican personal-data requirements apply.
- Other applicable state, national, or international privacy laws based on where WeSpeak2 operates and where users receive the service.
Listing a law does not mean every provision applies to every website visitor, nor does it claim government certification. WeSpeak2 will apply the requirements that govern each service and relationship. Before child accounts or paid services launch, the final data flows, consent process, vendors, contracts, security controls, and retention schedule should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel.
8. International visitors and policy changes
If you access WeSpeak2 from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other locations used by our service providers. Applicable local rights may vary. We will post material policy updates here and revise the date above.
